Write my research paperQuestion descriptionMy class is Healthcare law.The discussion board isOn p. 61-62, your author raises a provocative questions–should there be a legal right to healthcare in the U.S.? If so, what does that mean specifically with respect to affordability and availability? What does that mean with respect to payment and allocation of limited resources (experimental drugs or vital organs)?
My first classmate Discussion is.I have always been supportive of the idea of universal health care in America. We spend the most money on health care, yet we have the highest rates of chronic diseases. I believe that our food system is the main culprit, but that is a a whole different discussion. It seems that the healthcare system has transformed into accessing the best technology and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The healthcare system is not putting preventative care on the forefront, they are more concerned with treating disease once the disease presents itself. Our system is clearly not working as is, so it surprises me that Congress have not considered changing the current system. There are one of two options available to working Americans: receive medical coverage with additional out of pocket costs or apply for Obamacare. Americans that do not have a job or are self employed can receive Medicaid (if they make a certain amount). Working American’s already pay for healthcare for those enrolled Medicaid programs, so why shouldn’t affordable taxes come out of our paychecks to pay towards health insurance. In this case, employers could offer better salaries to their employees as they do not pay for health insurance. As a result, American’s would receive higher salaries and be taxed an affordable amount to cover their health insurance. This scenario, supports the idea of American’s gaining a legal right to healthcare.
My second classmate Discussion is.
The healthcare sector in the United States has been a victim of inconsistency although the induction of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) provides a platform of reforms in the healthcare sector. It is yet to be acknowledged whether the ACA will create opportunities that will help restore the impaired healthcare image in the country, thus the improvement of the overall medical care. There is a need for a legal right to health care in the U.S to avoid situations such as the previous elimination of the health care agencies such as the American Public Health Association. All that the people of America need are an established legal right to health care which will give them assurances on the provision of quality health care services. The legislation of the healthcare right should be implemented on a national level since the different states might reject the application of the right and in turn, set their legal rights which might deter the provision of quality care. Therefore, to comply with the ACA, healthcare organizations must adjust to the advanced methods of medical care, offer quality and patient safety exercises, implement patient guide program and deliver better access to inexpensive insurances.Additionally, having a system such as the Medicaid will cater for the welfare of all the economic classes in the society will establish affordable and easily accessible healthcare services. this will only be made possible through huge investment in the healthcare sector, in terms of money allocation and skilled personnel. The allocation of resources in the sector should be cost-effective and put into consideration the welfare and expenses of separate people in society. moreover, the offering of advanced training and studying opportunities to healthcare providers will hugely impact the quality of healthcare services provided.©Copyright 2000-2018.
