Why should people keep doubting?
Make a draft of your first essay. In the beginning of your draft, pose an interesting problem — some uncertainty, puzzle, paradox, not easily solved or resolved; in the middle of your draft, use evidence — the texts we’ve read, TedTalks, podcasts, etc. — to think through and probe the complexities of the problem, representing and reflecting on that evidence; in the ending of your draft, tell us what you have figured out about the problem: what can you tell us now, that you were not able to say before you started encountering and considering the evidence?
This draft should be in MLA format, using MLA in-text citations and Works Cited entries at the end. For this first draft, aim for 4 double-spaced pages, not including the Works Cited entries.
